Could I be Dyslexic?

Have you gone through your life just getting by with little or no reading? Is spelling a problem for you, words don’t seem to make sense to you like it does for others. It can be inherited from a family member or may be caused by a birth defect. Dyslexia usually affects about 20% of the human population but that number could go higher since many adults have a mild form of Dyslexia but don’t know it.

Once you take a Dyslexia test and find that you’re Dyslexic, you can go from there in finding out what is right for you. You may want to see your doctor and speak with him/her about Dyslexia, he or she may want give you a more comprehensive Dyslexia test. For many adults, finding out they’re Dyslexic comes as a surprise depending on how severe their disease it. However, some people can go their entire lives without being diagnosed with this condition; they have learned to avoid reading in front of others or out loud to someone else. Because they were never properly given a Dyslexia test, many people feel that it’s their problem and he or she will not say anything to anyone else because they don’t want to appear stupid. The one thing Dyslexia is not, is stupid and you are not stupid by any sense of the word. It is also not your fault that you have a learning disability like Dyslexia. Many people who have Dyslexia have higher than normal IQ’s and have channeled their talents into other areas in life like creating beautiful artwork or building better machinery. A recent study says that out of all the self made millionaires in the world, over 5,000 were found to be Dyslexic, which says a lot. It’s encouraging to know that the possibilities to make a good life for yourself are out there, even for those who are Dyslexic. People learn to make the best of their disability and enjoy a happy and prosperous life.
